Job summary
Parkway Medical Group has an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our supportive and forward thinking GP practice. The post is for 4 sessions per week, working Tuesday and Friday.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well respected, enthusiastic practice in a popular suburban area of Newcastle.
Main duties of the job
Undertakes face to face consultations, telephone calls, home visits, with a mixture of routine and on call GP clinics. Checking and signing of repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, pathology filing, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion as required.
Screens patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.

Job description Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centred primary medical care
Provide consultations face to face, telephone calls, online and home visits
Provides counselling and health education as necessary.
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions
Conduct physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests
Admits or discharges patients and refers them to other care providers internally and externally as appropriate and in line with practice protocols.
Complies with all relevant clinical governance and Practice polices and protocols.
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
Provide preventive care, including health screenings, immunisations, and lifestyle counselling
Refer patients to specialists and coordinate shared care when required
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient medical records
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuing professional development
Comply with medical, ethical, and legal standards of practice
Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff
