Job summary
We would like you to become part of our small but happy team in providing all GMS services to our patients.
To provide and assist in the mentoring of students on placement and also to learn from our long established GPs depth of knowledge in working in primary care.
To continue to help innovate and improve our surgery to adapt to the changing pace of delivering GP care
Main duties of the job
a. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
b. The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
c. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
d. Effective management of long-term conditions
e. Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
f. On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
g. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
h. Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
i. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
j. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
k. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
About us
Windrush Surgery is a long established partnership, and is a town centre practice in Banbury,North Oxfordshire, with a CQC rating of Good and a high QOF. Our focus is very much on patient centric care.
We are looking to recruit a 6-8 session salaried GP, for our 9000 list size practice.
The town is surrounded by a variety of local villages and has good access via road and train to major transport hubs and cities.

We pride ourselves on having and cohesive and diverse clinical floor including retained GPs, F2s, prescribing ANP, ECP,diabetic specialist nurse, and a prescribing pharmacist We mentor two retained GPs, are accredited F2 Clinical Supervisors and are educational supervsors for GP ST's and have medical students from the local Deanery.
We are part of a small three practice PCN, Banbury Alliance
We welcome informal visits.
