What You'll Do:Work as an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor within a specialist inpatient eating disorders serviceSupport Occupational Therapists in delivering person-centred interventions and share relevant feedback about service users and carersEngage service users in therapeutic activities such as cooking, shopping, social eating and relaxation, delivered in groups or individuallyPlan and prepare sessions while remaining flexible to meet individual needs and preferencesUse effective verbal and non-verbal communication skillsMaintain accurate, timely clinical recordsWork as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver coordinated, supportive careDemonstrate a good understanding of eating disorders, mental health, and occupational therapy

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
NVQ Level III equivalent in relevant subject area or experience in health care setting. OR Experience in an Occupational therapy setting.
Desirable
Have completed training in disability equipment Care Certificate
Knowledge and Expertise Essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skills in using a variety of activities and interventions relevant to the post including creative and domestic skills. Co-ordination and organisational skills. Basic risk assessment and risk management skills. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. Basic computer literacy.
Desirable
Basic understanding of the aims of Occupational Therapy
Experience Essential
Experience in a health or social care setting Experience in working with vulnerable people.
