RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Operating Officer
HOURS PER WEEK:37.5 hours per week
SALARY: £15.33 per hour
DURATION: Fixed term for 12 months
Main duties of the job
Taking the lead on project management activities, you will help to ensure our projects and initiatives are well-developed, implemented, monitored and evaluated by providing high-quality project leadership and support.
As part of a flexible, respected and supportive team, youll be empowered to work with a whole range of stakeholders and collaborators, from our internal staff, GP practices and Primary Care Networks, to local and regional partners and even those members of the public that access our services.
Given the nature of the role and the need to support staff and customers across a range of working hours and practices, there may be the need for occasional out of hours working, including some evenings and weekends, as well as the need to attend certain, specific locations from time to time.

Key Skills and Responsibilities
Support the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects and initiatives by providing high quality support, including analysis of complex information, communications, project management and stakeholder management.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure projects and tasks are planned, managed and delivered on time, within cost and meet the expected level of quality
Hands-on ability to maintain accurate, appropriate and open communication and project co-ordination with a range of internal and external individuals and organisations; build and develop relationships with stakeholders.
Support colleagues with programme reporting, business planning, information management, briefing and analysis of information as needed.
Solutions oriented and ideas-driven, youll offer proactive, positive and considered suggestions for appropriate, effective and creative project management approaches.
Work closely with the wider GP Federation team to ensure plans are aligned to maximise opportunities for efficiencies and impact, to share learning and to promote best practice.
Positively and effectively project the GP Federations values, philosophy, activity and outcomes with all levels and disciplines of staff.
Seek out, listen to and act on feedback, adopting a proactive, facilitative approach.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
5 GCSEs grade A* to C including English Language (or equivalent) Demonstrable relevant experience in an appropriate field
Experience Essential
Knowledge and experience of complex administrative processes. Considerable experience of project management or equivalent transferable skills and experience. Working in a fast-paced, complex, multi-disciplinary organisation Dealing with challenging priorities and situations where tact and sensitivity is required.
Desirable
Experience of working within NHS or other public sector project management role
