Job summary
We are looking for motivated and flexible registered health care professionals to work for our vaccination service especially for shifts that are Monday to Friday, but also Saturday and Sunday. We have developed a small, friendly and successful covid vaccination programme for our practices over the last 5-6 years and are continuing to deliver biannual booster campaigns, annual flu vaccinations, and are beginning to expand into delivering other vaccination services at scale. We are committed to providing high-quality care for our patients, and to working collaboratively to reduce the impact of health inequalities across our patient population.
Main duties of the job
The primary purpose of this role is to work as part of a small and friendly team as a Registered Healthcare Professional, delivering a safe and effective service for the delivery of vaccinations for influenza (flu) and covid-19 under the Vaccine Group Directive (VGD) or a Patient Group Direction (PGD), as well as any other immunisation/vaccination programmes that are delivered at scale by the network. You will be required to undertake activities such as clinical assessment and consent and may be involved in vaccine preparation and administration. We run relatively small and frequent, clinics, lasting around 3.5-4hrs with clinics based at:
Christchurch and Willow Surgeries in Downend,
Emersons Green and Leap Valley in Emersons Green
Orchard Medical Centre in Kingswood
Pucklechurch Surgery
Wick Surgery
Colerne
Abbotswood
Marshfield Community Centre
This role would be suitable for anyone who is a registered health professional who has had some experience of vaccination. You do not need to be a prescriber.
