Do you want to develop your career and take the next step and train to be a registered Pharmacy Technician?
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly team at Charlton Pharmacy to complete the Pharmacy Technician (integrated) Level 3 Apprenticeship.
As a Pre- Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT) your duties will be varied and will involve contributing to the delivery of our busy pharmacy services whilst completing the requirements to meet the apprenticeship standard.
This is a post suitable only for those dedicated to becoming a pharmacy technician and who are able to put in the necessary hard work consistently over the 2-year contract.
On completion of the Apprenticeship, you will be required to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) which we will help you to do
Main duties of the job
This will include working in our community pharmacy, dispensing prescriptions and issuing prescribed items, contributing to all aspects of pharmaceutical stock control. You will gain experience working with various services including essential, enhanced and private. You will be given opportunities to take patient medication histories and educating patients on their medicines. There will also be placements with our contacts within the PCN which may include hospital and general practice placements.
This is a rewarding and challenging role where you will need to demonstrate that you are organised and self-motivated to manage working and studying to complete the training programme.
You will need to demonstrate that you have excellent communication skills and are prepared to work with the different teams. This will require you to have a flexible approach, good attention to detail, and be a proactive learner, who is able to meet multiple deadlines, but most importantly, having a professional attitude and patient centered approach is essential.

Entry on to the Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship requires four GCSEs at grade A*-C/ 9-4, three of which must include English language, Mathematics and one Science subject, Biology or Chemistry.
