This in an exciting opportunity to join Salford CAMHS, working as the Neurodevelopmental & Behavioural Interventions Lead
If you are Clinical Psychologist or experienced Mental Health Practitioner who is looking to share and your knowledge and skills working with children and families, have excellent mental health assessment and formulation skills and can work therapeutically we would love to hear from you.
A skilled practitioner with mental health knowledge who can work in a busy team, manage risk and is passionate about offering intervention for children and families will thrive in this role.
Working with children and families presenting with a range of mental health challenges, you will have opportunity to develop core clinical skills in assessment, formulation, therapy, consultation and supervision of others. We offer a robust supervision and development structure in terms of psychological therapies training within the Trust and across Greater Manchester to access specialist training in line with your own and the team's needs.

Main duties of the job
To ensure the development, systematic provision, coordination and evaluation of a high-quality specialist evidence based assessment and intervention to young people referred to the team. Responsibilities may include:
To provide a high quality, evidence-based specialist service to children and young people presenting with neurodevelopmental difficulties and complex behavioural needs. To take continuing responsibility for the management of an identified, highly complex clinical caseload. To provide clinical supervision around neurodevelopmental conditions and complex behavioural interventions within the team. To contribute to the teaching, training and consultation on issues related to neurodevelopmental conditions and complex behavioural interventions to other professionals who work with young people. Assessment and intervention with children, teenagers, young adults, and families Work with schools, colleges and other community-based professionals working with children, teenagers, and young adults. Consultation, support, and provision of advice Utilising research skills for audit, policy and service development and research Staff training Liaison and effective teamwork will be required with staff from wider health, community, and education as appropriate Support the development of an evidence base for relevant conditions and outcomes affecting patients treated with our services.

Qualifications Essential
Diploma, masters, doctoral degree or equivalent accepted by the British Psychological Society as qualifying the person to work as a clinical psychologist or equivalent core professional qualification (e.g. Nursing, Social Work) Post-qualification registration with appropriate regulatory body

Post-doctoral/qualification training course in an area of specialist practice
Experience Essential
Experience of working as a specialist clinician in CAMHS for at least 4 years Experience in assessment and therapeutic work with children and families across the age range with a full range of presenting problems and across settings including community, outpatient and clinic settings Experience of working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions; both assessment and intervention Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment independently and within a multidisciplinary and multiagency context Experience of consulting with health care and other professionals Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision Knowledge of legislation and national guidance in relation to the needs of children and young people

Working knowledge of professional systems involved in work with children Experience of working autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience in working in developing services Experience of the application of psychological approaches in different cultural contexts
