More about the role
We are looking for a motivated intern to support the development of a machine vision and AI-based inspection platform for industrial applications. This hands-on internship focuses on building real-world systems combining backend development, computer vision, machine learning, and user-facing tools. The role connects frontend and backend development, making it suitable for backend developers interested in UI systems and frontend developers looking to gain experience with AI, data pipelines, and backend engineering. The intern will also have the opportunity to contribute to an advanced robotics platform integrating machine vision, kinematics, and AI. The position is available part-time or full-time (minimum 24 hours/week). Key Responsibilities
• Develop Python backend components for image processing and ML pipelines.
• Build computer vision workflows and work with real-time camera data.
• Integrate and optimize ML inference systems (ONNX, TensorRT).
• Support ML deployment and performance improvements.
• Contribute to frontend tools, dashboards, visualizations, and UI components.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and monitoring systems.
Required Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Understanding of computer vision, image processing, and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of ML inference and deployment workflows.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with PyTorch or similar ML frameworks.
• Exposure to real-time or image-based systems.
• Frontend experience or interest (React, Dash, etc.).
• Familiarity with REST APIs (e.g., FastAPI) and frontend-backend integration.
• Interest in industrial AI, robotics, and applied machine learning.
• Knowledge of robotics fundamentals, reinforcement learning, or simulation tools (MuJoCo, IsaacSim, Gazebo) is a plus.
Candidate Profile We are looking for curious, hands-on engineers who enjoy working across software, AI, and user-facing systems. You should be solution-oriented, eager to learn, comfortable solving complex problems, and focused on writing clean, maintainable code. What You Will Gain
