🚛 Now Hiring Residential Drivers 📍 Sumter Recycling – 3935 Rogers Industrial Park Rd, Okahumpka, FL 34762 Pay & Schedule
• Starting at $23.00/hour+ DOE • 50-60 hours per week • Overtime paid at time and a half • Paid weekly • Year-round, stable work Duties & Responsibilities
• Safely operate a residential collection vehicle on assigned routes. • Service residential customers in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner. • Complete daily route assignments and follow dispatcher instructions. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment. • Operate hydraulic controls to safely collect and transport residential waste. • Maintain a strong focus on safety while working around traffic, pedestrians, and residential neighborhoods. • Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Typical Schedule
• Monday through Friday • Occasional Saturdays as needed • 50-60 hour work week • Early morning start times Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
• Physically demanding position requiring frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds or more. • Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, noise, dust, and other environmental conditions common to the waste industry. • Must be able to safely enter and exit the vehicle multiple times throughout the day. Minimum Requirements
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement. • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience. • Waste industry experience preferred but not required. • Ability to complete vehicle inspections and identify basic mechanical concerns. • Strong safety record and customer service skills.
