The Pharmacy Technician II assists the Pharmacists in a variety of technical duties related to the filling of medication orders or IV Admixtures. This position participates technical and administrative functions related to the pharmacy, including medication order processing, distribution of those medications, inventory order and management, and quality assurance, to maintain the integrity of all medications throughout the facility.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
• Position is 4 days per week. No weekends. 32 hours each week.
• Prepare sterile IV products including chemotherapy
• Restocking and checking of Pyxis machines and nursing units including onsite and offsite units.
• Verify integrity of medications in Pyxis machines / floor stock areas.
• Check for appropriate dating, and stock levels.
• Make routine deliveries of filled medication orders
• Batch admixtures and maintain records of medications batched
• Monthly checking of assigned departments for outdates.
• Prepare and deliver intravenous piggyback admixtures.
• PTCB Certification is required within one year of hire
QUALIFICATIONS
• Required High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year Sterile Products Preferred
• 1 year Sterile Compounding Preferred
• 1 year Pharmaceutical/Pharmacology Preferred
• Pharmacy Intern Permit (PHINTERN) - State Licensing Board
• Pharmacy Tech, State Cert (PHT) - State Licensing Board
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
