About this role

Job Title: Project Manager, FurnitureJob DescriptionThe Project Manager, Furniture is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a furniture project. This role involves developing furniture Scopes of Work and procurement packages, managing pre-order entry activities, coordinating furniture installations, and providing excellent customer service to clients. The Project Manager will lead a furniture project and collaborate with stakeholders to successfully execute furniture scope within budget and schedule constraints. Responsibilities • Lead and manage a furniture project independently up to 50,000 RSF and assist on larger projects. • Coordinate activities with project management team, architect, client, furniture dealer, and all involved parties. • Develop and maintain project documentation, including furniture Scopes of Work (SOW), procurement packages, project plans, budgets, and schedules. • Coordinate and manage relocation communications and change management plans. • Incorporate best practices and industry standards into furniture management processes. • Ensure compliance with client requirements, as well as company policies and procedures. • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns related to furniture. • Collaborate with internal teams, including project management and construction, to facilitate successful furniture installation. • Develop procurement packages, oversee vendor selection, order entry, and management for furniture-related services. • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to review project progress and address any issues or concerns. Essential Skills • 3-5 years of practical experience in a similar role, preferably within the corporate real estate industry. • Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, interior design, or communications. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a project. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite. • Knowledge of furniture management best practices and industry standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Project management certification (PMP) preferred. • NCIDQ certification preferred. • Experience with design software such as CAD or CET preferred. • Understanding of construction processes and the commercial real estate industry. Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with potential for earlier or outside hours for installations. This is not a fully remote position; candidates may need to visit a local office 2-3 times a week and travel to client sites as required. The role is based in Texas, with candidates needed in Austin, Houston, or Dallas. Any additional client travel will be reimbursed. This is a contract position for 6-9 months covering maternity leave, with a possibility of extension to a full-time offer based on business needs. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $46.00 - $49.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
