About this role
Position Summary We are looking for a candidate to join our team as an Electromechanical Assembler on a fixed-term contract. Work is performed in well-lit, environmentally controlled area. Under general supervision assembles various electronic, electric, plastic and metal components using hand and automated equipment. Other duties are performed as defined by Supervisor.
Duties
• Perform visual sorting or inspection of incoming raw materials and/or production assemblies as directed, to meet quality standards through production process. • Assemble components according to standard procedures, drawings, electrical schematics or different supervisor instructions if required. • Interact with other functions (Quality, Warehouse) in order to share information and/or fix problems when necessary. • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, clips, rivets or other fastening devices. • Performs hand soldering, wire cutting, stripping and pinning of cables, quality assurance testing on certain sub-assemblies and packaging of certain finished products. • Use hand drills, tools, automated tapers, crimper, soldering iron. • Able to perform other tasks if required by supervisor.
Education Degree High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
• High school diploma required. 6 to 12 months related assembly experience desired. • General understanding of English (both spoken and written) is desired. • Must have general knowledge of basic assembly tools and their intended use. • Material handling (occasional heavy loads) according to EHS procedures and guidelines. • Able to work in a sitting or standing position and/or twist or turn the body continuously throughout the day. • Job requires repetitive movement of both hands continuously, six to eight hours daily. • Assembly of components requires good vision as well as color distinction.
