About this role
The Clinical Pharmacist III Ambulatory Retail Specialty works in a specialized ambulatory or community pharmacy area. Working under moderate supervision, this role provides patient care in their specialty area, engages with providers, pharmacy staff and may supervise patient advocates and/or pharmacy technicians.
Essential Job Function:
• Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient. • Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public. • Supervises and evaluates pharmacy technicians. • Precepts students and residents. • Functions at a higher knowledge base and competency and spends the majority of time addressing complex situations or works on project improvement initiatives. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
• Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharm.
Experience:
• Required: 6 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
• Required: Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider BCPS or Board Certification in a specialty area.
