As a Certified Medical Assistant in the Heart Clinic, you will help create a coordinated, reassuring experience for patients receiving specialized cardiovascular care. You will work alongside skilled and empathetic professionals who value clinical excellence, professionalism, collaboration, and the contributions of every team member.

The Role

In this patient-facing role, you will support the clinical team throughout the outpatient visit, helping maintain safe, efficient workflows while ensuring patients feel heard, prepared, and cared for. Your ability to recognize priorities, communicate clearly, and complete essential clinical tasks accurately will directly contribute to the quality and continuity of cardiology care.

You will work in a setting where clinical expertise and genuine compassion are equally valued. Available schedules include 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering consistent daytime hours within a collaborative outpatient environment.

An average day may include:

• Welcoming patients and preparing them for cardiology visits

• Obtaining and documenting vital signs with accuracy and attention to clinical changes

• Completing medication reconciliation and maintaining reliable patient information

• Performing EKGs to support timely cardiovascular assessment

• Administering occasional injections as directed

• Supporting patient care workflows and day-to-day clinic operations

• Communicating with clinicians and colleagues to promote an organized, responsive care experience

• Demonstrating empathy and professionalism in interactions with patients, families, and team members

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: None required.

Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), the AMT (American Medical Technologists), NAHP (The National Association of Healthcare Professions), the ARMA (American Registry of Medical Assistants), or the NHA (National Healthcare Association).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Ability to lift/push/pull 20 – 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $19.37 - $28.47 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
