Role Title: Analyst Programmer
Role Summary The Analyst programmer is responsible for configuring, testing, and maintaining Alight’s proprietary Total Benefit Administration™ (TBA) system. This role delivers accurate low-to-medium complexity analysis and test plans reflecting client requirements, ensures smooth batch operations post-implementation, and maintains ongoing system stability. The role also includes mentoring new associates and collaborating with global teams to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure, test, and maintain TBA batch systems to meet client requirements. • Deliver accurate system analysis, configuration documentation, and test plans. • Support, monitor, and troubleshoot automated production batch jobs. • Perform unit and integration testing and resolve defects. • Ensure system stability post-implementation and during BAU operations. • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance. • Coach and mentor new hires and junior associates in batch configuration and testing. • Collaborate with client delivery, shared services, and global teams. • Proactively communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

Skills & Technical Requirements
• Strong knowledge of US Benefits Domain: Health Management, Defined Benefits, Defined Contributions. • Intermediate SQL querying and relational database concepts. • SAS programming experience: basic JCL/Mainframe knowledge preferred. • Strong understanding of batch processing and data flows. • Experience with SDLC principles and system implementations. • Hands-on experience in system analysis, configuration, unit and integration testing • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Supervision & Independence
• Works under consultation with Analyst Programmer / LPA / LPAA / CTM. • Once priorities are defined, operate independently following established standards while escalating issues appropriately.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, or related analytical discipline. • B.Tech / BCA / MCA preferred. • Minimum 1.5+ years of relevant experience in US Benefits Administration. • Prior experience with Alight, Aon, or Wipro is an added advantage.
