• In a student employee capacity, may perform or assist with functions around marketing trends, communications outreach, creative design and production (print and digital) Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY - The Fair Trade Market Assistant will help with greeting customers, bagging and writing up tickets for items, light dusting, arranging product displays. The assistant will also help with pricing incoming orders, help with additional cleaning, and help to decorate the market. MUST BE ELIGIBLE for FEDERAL WORK-STUDY. This is off-campus employment, so reliable transportation is important.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION – Customer service oriented, Computer Work, phone work, run errands and developing displays

REQUIRED HARD SKILLS – Customer service, point of sales experience, use of computer and communication skills.

REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS - Work well with staff, a team player. Good communication skills.

LEARNING OUTCOMES - Grow in listening, speaking, and creative problem solving skills. Grow as a team member, giving/receiving feedback, following through on assigned responsibilities.
