QC&QA specialist
Job Description: This position offers a unique opportunity for career growth, as you will act as the primary deputy and backup for the QA/QC Manager, combining technical laboratory oversight with systemic quality management.
Main Responsibilities: • Routine Testing and Analysis: Actively participate in daily laboratory operations, performing routine and non-routine physical, chemical, or microbiological analyses alongside the lab team to ensure product quality. • QC Plans and Methods: Identify, develop, implement, and manage project-specific quality control plans for laboratory procedures. Introduce and validate new analytical methods and advanced technologies. • Asset Management: Oversee the correct calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment; maintain preventive maintenance (PM) programs. Evaluate new equipment and recommend for purchase. • Documentation and Compliance: Review and approve technical documentation. Ensure that laboratory activities comply with applicable legal requirements, industry standards, and ADM specifications. Oversee laboratory waste handling and disposal practices. • Problem-Solving: Collaborate closely with production and logistics teams in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities. • Cross-Team Alignment: Actively collaborate with the Olomouc team and the regional EMEAI quality assurance teams to align technical and quality expectations. • Quality Assurance (QA): Conduct internal QMS (ISO 9001) and EMS (ISO 14001) audits. Act as an active member of the HACCP team, participating in risk assessments, Food Defense, and Food Fraud mitigation programs. • Plant Hygiene & Management: Act as the designated person responsible for plant hygiene, sanitation, and pest control, managing communication with external service providers. Approve processing aids and feed transportation suppliers. • Training & Development: Lead onboarding for new hires and provide ongoing quality and EHS training (Q-Week, SAM) for laboratory and operations personnel. • Problem Solving & Collaboration: Partner with production and logistics teams to troubleshoot and investigate customer complaints and non-conformities (root-cause analysis). Align technical expectations with regional EMEAI teams. • Deputization: Fully deputize for the QA/QC Manager during their absence.
Requirements: • Education: University degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in a manufacturing/production environment (QA/QC focus). • Language Skills: Proficiency in English at a B2 – C1 level (written and spoken), as the role involves daily communication with regional stakeholders. Native Hungarian, or B2 - C1 level (written and spoken). • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HACCP and GMP+ systems; familiarity with ISO 9001 standards. • Certification: Certified Internal Auditor. • Soft Skills: Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to lead, manage, and train people.
