Making beds, providing fresh towels and creating "special touches" for 12-15 Guest staterooms two times per day. You will report to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager. Additional Information: This is a SHIPBOARD role You must:
• Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel • Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan • Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control • If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations Your Responsibilities:
• Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this) • Complete a pre-employment medical • Obtain a criminal background check • Bring approved work shoes **Disney Cruise Line is a drug-free workplace. All new hires are required to undergo drug/alcohol testing within the first week onboard and throughout their contracts. Failure to pass the drug/alcohol testing will result in immediate termination.
Basic Qualifications: • 2 years of Housekeeping experience cleaning 10-15 rooms daily, within the last 5 years • Previous experience working in an operation with Luxury Standards of Guest service and cleanliness, (i.e. 5 star or deluxe hotels or ships) • Thoughtful service creating special touches for Guests of all ages • Be able to lift 50 lbs and complete repetitive physical assignments
Preferred Qualifications: • Ship experience preferred
Responsibilities: • Clean Guest staterooms twice daily; morning service and evening service and Ensure section complies to USPH and U.S. Coast Guard standards and requirements • Guest Services focus especially with children and families • Clean, dust, vacuum, make beds, remove service items, replenish towels and ensure general maintenance the Guest Staterooms • Sanitize Guest corridors and storage areas, using multiple chemicals and cleaners as per MSDS • Removal/breakdown of room service trays, dishes and glassware • Distribution of Guest luggage on embarkation and debarkation days • Responsible for reporting all deficiencies for repair and maintenance using shipboard reporting systems
