Job Description: BAE Systems is seeking a Lead Modeling and Simulations (M&S) Software Developer to support our government customer in a mission critical role related to modeling and simulations. The Lead M&S Software Developer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems) based upon documented requirements.

This Lead M&S Software Developer will be responsible for the following: • Leading and supervising a team of Software Developers to provide high-quality technical solutions to customer requirements • Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. • Resolving software problem reports. • Utilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. • Providing specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. • Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements • Debugging existing software and correct defects • Providing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards • Designing and coding new software or modify existing software to add new features • Integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments • Developing simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories • Contributing technical expertise to new business strategy and growth opportunities

Required Skills and Education: • Must be a US citizen and possess a Secret level clearance • 10+ years using the following - Javascript - Typescript - React - Java, Spring Framework • 10+ years experience in engineering roles with management responsibility • Bachelors degree in related field • Modeling and simulations experience
