As a Proposal Labor Estimator, you will:

• Develop detailed estimates for machinery work in support of repairs and installations on various vessels • Interpret and analyze 4-E work specifications and drawings to inform estimate development • Collaborate with contract administrators, material estimators, subcontract administrators, and planning personnel to ensure accurate estimates • Work closely with trades and operations teams to ensure bid accuracy and support Request for Bid Approval (RBA) meetings with leadership • This position is eligible for the 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off or the standard 5/40 schedule.

Required Skills and Education: • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent • Minimum 5 years of experience in Navy vessel repairs and/or marine repair contracts administration • Ability to read, interpret, and understand 4-E work specifications and drawings • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft365 Excel and Word • Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with excellent analytical and communication skills

Preferred Skills and Education: • Experience with Work Item Specification development • U.S. Naval experience as an Engineman (EN), Gas Turbine Systems Technician Mechanical (GSM) with diesel background, or Machinist's Mate (MM) • Actual shipyard experience as a craft Inside or Outside Machinist familiar with shipboard repair standards and practices
