About this role
Role Summary Performs specialized maintenance and repair services in either multiple crafts (such as electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and millwrighting), or in a single craft but with significant, specialized expertise. Has a sound understanding of the maintenance history of the building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained. Job Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance and Repair Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance routines. Site Maintenance Carry out simple site-maintenance tasks. Equipment Installation Carry out standard installation activities under detailed guidance. Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems by applying previously defined solutions. Health, Safety, and Environment Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others. Quality Assurance Carry out relatively simple testing and quality assurance tasks. Operational Compliance Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards. Manufacturing Methods/Processes Development Implement improvements in manufacturing methods and processes and provide feedback on the changes. Data Collection and Analysis Perform basic data entry tasks, including data verification. External Communications Create positive experiences for clients by interacting courteously with them. Work Scheduling and Allocation Organize own work schedule in order to get the job done, coordinating with support services and assigning short-term tasks to others if necessary. Personal Capability Building Develop and maintain excellent procedural or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
