With locations and projects across North America and beyond, exciting opportunities are waiting for you in dozens of cities.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Here's how an Electrical Senior Estimator for PCL Industrial Services, Inc. contributes to our team:</span></p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li> <div><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Conduct detailed analysis of electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, engineering deliverables, and contract documents to determine project requirements and scope.</span></div> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Establishes a critical path schedule including milestone dates and completion timelines to meet contract completion dates for large projects.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"> <div><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Complete comprehensive quantity takeoffs for power distribution, medium-voltage and low-voltage systems, instrumentation and controls, communications, grounding, lighting, and raceway systems.</span></div> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"> <div><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Lead pricing of project-specific general requirements, indirect costs, and electrical construction expenses for large industrial and commercial pursuits.</span></div> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"> <div><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Develop critical path estimating schedules and milestone timelines to support bid submissions and project delivery requirements.</span></div> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"> <div><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Conduct risk and opportunity analysis related to electrical scope execution, labor productivity, procurement strategies, and material availability.</span></div> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"> <div><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Complete estimate turnover packages, bid recap documentation, and electrical trade buyout strategies in coordination with operations teams.</span></div> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"> <div><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Document and maintain estimate assumptions, pricing strategies, vendor quotations, and supporting electrical estimate data for project handoff upon award.</span></div> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Conducts a risk and opportunity analysis for review by chief estimator to add into risk register.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"> <div><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Support client presentations and explain electrical scope, pricing methodology, schedule considerations, and risk mitigation strategies during estimate reviews.</span></div> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Monitors client project-specific success criteria (CPSSC); specifically understands owners’ business, requirements, revenue generation, and provides solutions. Holds team accountable and challenges team and project to find creative solutions for overall project benefit.</span></li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field. Equivalent electrical trade experience may be considered. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Gold Seal certification in estimating required (CDN).</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">8-15+ years of electrical estimating experience. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">large commercial projects preferred. Experience leading estimates exceeding $50M-$500M+ preferred. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Experience with industrial facilities, data centers, power generation, substations, renewable energy, or large commercial projects preferred. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge and understanding of different construction methods, planning, scheduling, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines and is a district champion in these matters.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Extensive knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity take-off procedures, trade contractor procurement, pricing and bid closing procedures.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Expert in understanding and teaching contract terms for various delivery models and able to identify contract risks and opportunity.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Understands different bid processes and contract delivery type methods: Hard bid/lump sum, guaranteed maximum price (GMP), unit price, design-build, target prices and construction management/cost reimbursable.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to lead successful teams.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Resourceful and self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt">Strong ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with owners, peers and industry representatives, and leverage the</span> industry relationships for a competitive advantage.</span></span></li> </ul></div></div></div><p><strong>Your Work Has Purpose Here</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>PCL projects are where life happens, where communities connect, careers begin, and progress is made.
