Position Description Networks Telecoms are responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of ESB Networks National Telecommunications Infrastructure. This network, consisting of a variety of media and technologies, facilitates the remote control and operation of both the Transmission System and Distribution Systems as well as providing telecommunication services to the wider ESB Group. The Telecoms Service & Deployment Team – North East, located within Networks Telecoms is responsible for the safe installation, support and maintenance of a range of telecoms technologies such as data traffic multiplexers, microwave radio links, SCADA UHF polling radio, Satellite, tele-protection schemes, IP networks, telephony services and other Telecoms equipment nationally. This role is within the TSD North East Team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the deployment, operation, maintenance and future growth of ESB’s national telecommunications network.
