This role focuses on infrastructure-oriented data platforms, database modernization, data movement for migrations, and operational datasets—not BI or analytics.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Key Responsibilities:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Lead the design of hybrid cloud data platforms, including storage tiers, database modernization, and operational data flows.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Oversee database assessment, consolidation, and migration for infrastructure and application-related datasets (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Define ingestion and transformation patterns for infra telemetry, configuration/state data, asset inventories, and migration data.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Architect cloud-managed database solutions (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL Flexible Server, AWS RDS, Cloud SQL) aligned to modernization initiatives.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Establish governance for schema changes, metadata, lineage, retention, and DB security controls across hybrid environments.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Lead design of operational data pipelines that support infra monitors, migration factory workflows, topology mapping, and system state analytics.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Collaborate with Cloud Architects and Infra SMEs to integrate DB workloads with IAM, encryption, networking, and observability platforms.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Govern LLDs, DB migration runbooks, schema modernization plans, and operational data documentation.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Mentor teams on database best practices for cloud adoption, performance tuning, indexing, lifecycle policies, and storage optimization.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Ensure data platform compliance with enterprise governance, DR/backup requirements, DB security posture, and access helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Up to 8 years in cloud engineering, infra modernization, or hybrid data platform roles with deep exposure to databases.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Strong experience with RDBMS platforms:</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Cloud-managed DBs (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Cloud SQL)</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Hands-on skills in DB schema design, normalization, indexing, partitioning, backup/restore, and performance optimization.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Strong SQL and scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for DB automation and data operations.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Understanding of cloud storage tiers, IAM, networking, encryption, backup policies, logging, and governance frameworks.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Experience with ETL/ELT workflows supporting infra and migration data (not BI/analytics).</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field, cloud certifications preferred.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Preferred Skills:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Experience with DB migration tools and strategies (DMS, native backups, replication-based migrations).</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Familiarity with IaC (Terraform/Bicep), pipelines, and observability platforms.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Knowledge of DB governance, lineage, audit frameworks, and compliance requirements.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica,
