This is an 18-month contract position with the potential for permanent employment based on business needs and performance.</p> <p>This leadership role is responsible for the day-to-day management of security personnel, ensuring compliance with client requirements, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced industrial environment.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be a strong leader with extensive experience managing security operations, conducting investigations, developing personnel, and maintaining a safe and secure environment.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What's in it for you?</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Pay rate $40-$42 per hour.</li> <li>Up to $5000 given for reclocation assistance if from out of Fort McMurray </li> <li>Comprehensive benefits package</li> <li>Career growth opportunities within a global security organization</li> <li>Leadership role within a high-profile industrial security operation</li> <li>Ongoing training and professional development</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What does a Site Security Manager do?</b></H2> </div><div><p>As a Site Security Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of site security operations, including:</p> <ul> <li>Leading and supervising a team of security professionals</li> <li>Scheduling personnel and ensuring all positions are staffed with trained and qualified guards</li> <li>Managing recruitment, training, onboarding, and performance evaluations</li> <li>Conducting quality assurance inspections of security personnel, vehicles, equipment, and posts</li> <li>Ensuring all security incidents and site events are properly reported, documented, and investigated</li> <li>Overseeing access control, search programs, traffic safety initiatives, and emergency response procedures</li> <li>Managing emergency dispatch functions, including alarm monitoring and incident coordination</li> <li>Developing and maintaining site-specific post orders, procedures, and training programs</li> <li>Conducting investigations into security incidents, complaints, and safety-related occurrences</li> <li>Maintaining employee records, training files, qualifications, and compliance documentation</li> <li>Leading safety initiatives including inspections, toolbox talks, meetings, and incident communications</li> <li>Providing regular operational reports and updates to client representatives</li> <li>Supporting succession planning and employee development initiatives</li> <li>Acting in operational security roles when required to maintain service continuity</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications to become a Site Security Manager</b></H2> </div><div><ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li>Be authorized to work in Canada</li> <li>Ability to successfully pass and maintain compliance with client-mandated drug and alcohol testing requirements</li> <li>This position requires the use of respiratory protection equipment. Candidates must be able to pass N95 respirator fit testing and comply with all site respiratory protection requirements, including being clean-shaven where required to ensure a proper seal.</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of progressive security leadership experience</li> <li>Previous supervisory or management experience within an industrial security environment</li> <li>Valid Alberta Security License or willing to obtain one</li> <li>Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract</li> <li>Strong investigative, incident management, and report-writing skills</li> <li>Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)</li> <li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and work independently</li> <li>Experience interacting with clients and delivering high-level customer service</li> <li>Open to relocate in Fort McMurray</li> </ul> <div> <p><span><br></span><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">If you’re ambitious with an entrepreneurial spirit and someone who wants to be a GardaWorld Ambassador, a promising career awaits you!<br><br>Not the job for you?
