This role focuses on SONiC-based network operating systems and integration with leading networking ASICs (Broadcom, Marvell, etc.).</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></H2> </div><div><p><strong>Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned): </strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Design and optimize critical software modules, drivers, and APIs for high-performance forwarding and control planes.</li> <li>Define the software architecture integrating SONiC with Supermicro’s hardware platform infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability.</li> <li>Develop and maintain robust interfaces for telemetry, diagnostics, and system management.</li> <li>Lead optimization of system performance, power efficiency, and resource utilization.</li> <li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across software, hardware, and QA teams.</li> <li>Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, hardware, and platform teams to align on requirements and deliverables.</li> <li>Engage with the open-source SONiC community - contribute upstream, review patches, and align development with community direction.</li> <li>Evaluate and adopt emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies to accelerate development and testing cycles.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications:</b></H2> </div><div><ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>BS/MS in Computer Science, or related STEM field.</li> <li>2+ years of software development experience in networking or system software.</li> <li>Strong programming skills in Python/C/C++ and/or Go.</li> <li>Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Preferred Qualifications: </p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Hands-on experience with SONiC network operating system development, integration, or deployment.</li> <li>Experience with open-source collaboration and contribution practices.</li> </ul> </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Salary Range</b></H2> </div><div><p>$128,000 - $142,000</p> <p>The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
