As the Junior Civil Design Engineer you will be responsible for the delivery of Civil specifications, design, build, and through to commissioning process. You will work in the production of high-quality design solutions that comply with relevant legislation and engineering standards. The job holder will provide technical liaison with suppliers, and clients for the creation of new business and the successful delivery of projects. Nature and scope: The Engineering Design functions within UKPNS are lead by the Head of Engineering who reports to UKPN Services Director. The design functions within the team are SCADA, Modelling and Network Design, Civil Engineering, CAD and Information Management. All these are interlinked and require co-ordination to enable the production of feasible designs. The job requires the equivalent of a graduated civil engineer with experience in civil and structural design, preferably on designs associated with electrical substations and power distribution infrastructure.
