POSITION SUMMARY: The Equipment Technician is responsible for the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal downtime. RESPONSIBILITIES: <ol style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" start="1" type="1"> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Troubleshooting equipment failures and carry out timely fixes to minimize downtime.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Support equipment setup, installation and qualification activities.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Work closely with engineers to implement process and equipment upgrades and improvement.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operation standards.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Involvement in CIP (continuous Improvement Project).</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Maintain maintenance records, logs and reports.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Perform equipment, jig, and fixture preventive maintenance (PM).</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Assist engineers in spare parts management and inventory control.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Support activities to meet Output, Yield and OEE target.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:3.0pt;text-align:justify;line-height:115%;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Univers (WN)', sans-serif">Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:3.0pt;text-align:justify;line-height:115%;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Univers (WN)', sans-serif">Other duties as assigned.</li> </ol> WORK ENVIRONMENT: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Works in a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering cleanroom environment.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Completes many repetitive tasks that include the use of electronic equipment.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">At time work with operators to complete production workorder based on the OMS instruction.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Be immediate guide to operators for any critical downtime.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Works under direct supervision and get support from engineers to understand new tasks.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand.</li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to operate basic semiconductor equipment such as wire bonder, reflow oven, SMT, etc.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Good communication ability and teamwork.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Knowledge of BOM, SAP, MES, basic Microsoft skill, etc.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Knowledge of Basic English ability, reading ability is preferred.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Good computational and technical skills.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to work independently and ability to be creative.</li> </ul> EXPERIENCE: Essential: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Familiarity with automation systems and sensors.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li> </ul> Desirable: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Basic English knowledge.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">ESD knowledge.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">5S knowledge.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Have work experience in Semiconductor field.</li> </ul> EDUCATION: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Technical school or Diploma level in mechanical/electrical or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.</li> </ul> WHY JOIN US!
