This is a 14-month temporary position and your opportunity to join Novo Nordisk and contribute to delivering life-changing medicines.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><strong>Your new role</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">As Development Scientist in API MSAT Process Support, you will become part of the Fermentation & Recovery Support Team, where you will support API manufacturing and drive optimisation of recovery processes on a yeast platform.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Your key responsibilities will include:</span></p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Optimisation and troubleshooting of API recovery processes to ensure robustness and scalability</span></li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Scientific support to production facilities, including root cause analysis and problem solving</span></li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Planning, execution, and evaluation of laboratory and pilot-scale experiments</span></li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Preparation of protocols, technical reports, and development documentation</span></li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Collaboration with stakeholders across development, QA, Regulatory Affairs, production sites, and external partners</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">The position is based in Bagsværd, with close collaboration and support to manufacturing sites in Kalundborg and Clayton (USA). You should expect travel to Kalundborg 1–3 days per month and occasional international travel.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><strong>Your new department</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">You will join API MSAT Process Support, part of Novo Nordisk’s CMC & Product Supply organisation, covering the full value chain from drug development to marketed products. With more than 30,000 colleagues globally, we are responsible for scaling processes and ensuring a stable supply of high-quality medicines to patients.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Within API MSAT Process Support, you will be part of a highly skilled team operating at the interface between R&D and full-scale manufacturing. The department focuses on process understanding, implementation, and optimisation, working closely across functions to support late-stage development and commercial production. The area consists of approximately 130 employees across eight teams in Bagsværd and Gentofte, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><strong>Your skills and qualifications</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">We are looking for a candidate who combines strong scientific capabilities with a structured and solution-oriented mindset.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">To succeed in this role, you have:</span></p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">An MSc or engineering degree in chemistry, pharmacy, or a related discipline</span></li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Experience with protein recovery, purification, or separation techniques such as filtration, chromatography, or precipitation</span></li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Solid understanding of chemical processes, ideally within pharmaceutical production or development</span></li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively across stakeholders</span></li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">A proactive and independent approach, with the ability to navigate complex and dynamic environments</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Experience with programming or data modelling is considered an advantage but is not required.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><strong>Working at Novo Nordisk</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Every day we seek the solutions that defeat serious chronic diseases.
