Procurement Specialist | Bugle, Manchester, Halifax or Rochdale Drive commercial value, lead strategic sourcing activities and execute key supplier negotiations to secure optimal value across our supply chain. What you will be doing As a Procurement Specialist within our QEHS & Sustainability business unit, you will play a critical role in driving commercial value through effective sourcing, market engagement and supplier negotiations without managing direct reports. Working Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:30 and Friday from 08:00 to 15:00, your focus will be on delivering cost, quality and risk improvements across defined spend areas. Lead local sourcing activities, conduct market analysis and onboard qualified suppliers to maintain a competitive supplier base. Own commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms and contractual conditions to deliver measurable cost reductions. Analyse spend data independently to identify opportunities for consolidation, standardisation and cost optimisation. Build strong working relationships with key suppliers, monitor performance targets and mitigate sourcing risks. Partner with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into effective sourcing strategies and commercial guidance. What you will bring We are seeking a proactive commercial professional who combines sharp negotiation skills with a data-driven approach to procurement. You will need a strong track record in execution, alongside the ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. Experience: Demonstrable experience in procurement, sourcing or commercial execution roles, with proven success in supplier negotiations and managing supplier markets. Soft skills: Results-orientated, curious and proactive approach with strong stakeholder engagement abilities and confidence in supplier interactions. Hard skills: Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, strong analytical capabilities with data-driven decision-making and a thorough understanding of cost structures and commercial risk.
