Want to play a key role in supporting one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects?</p> <p> </p> <p>Here at GXO, we're looking for a Site Operations Manager to lead our Bridgwater site, ensuring operational KPIs are met, safety standards are upheld, and teams are developed to deliver excellence.</p> <p> </p> <p>At Hinkley Point C, we're building two new nuclear reactors - the first in a new generation of power stations delivering zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. As a Tier One partner to Nuclear New Build (NNB), we provide warehousing and transportation services critical to the success of this project.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is a full-time permanent position. You'll be working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!</p> <p><br><strong>What you'll do on a typical day:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Oversee the day-to-day running of the site, managing teams, contractors, and visitors.</li> <li>Liaise with stakeholders to coordinate site operations and meet processing volumes.</li> <li>Lead from the front on service delivery, budgetary KPIs, and contractual commitments.</li> <li>Ensure all shift activities comply with SOPs, SSOWs, and safety procedures.</li> <li>Drive a culture of continuous improvement and career progression within your team.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>NEBOSH</li> <li>CITB MAPS</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>What you need to succeed at GXO:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in warehouse/distribution operations within a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.</li> <li>Excellent organisational and communication skills, with stakeholder management experience.</li> <li>IT literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly; NEBOSH or CITB MAPS advantageous.</li> <li>A safety-first mindset with knowledge of HSEQ and regulatory compliance.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)</li> <li>Company sponsored pension scheme</li> <li>Life assurance</li> <li>Death in service</li> </ul><p> </p> <p>For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
