<p>The SZC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project. #SZCJobs</p><p style="text-align:center"><strong>Slinger (Sizewell C)</strong> </p> <p style="text-align:center"><strong>Ballycommon</strong></p> <p style="text-align:center"><strong>Sizewell C</strong></p> <p style="text-align:left"><br><strong>Main Duties:</strong></p> <p><br>Slinging and signalling for cranes, excavators, telehandlers, and other plant<br>Attaching and detaching loads, ensuring secure lifting procedures are followed<br>Communicating effectively with crane operators and site teams via hand signals or radio<br>Coordinating safe lifting operations in line with lift plans and risk assessments<br>Supporting general lifting operations across civils, earthworks, and structural works<br>Carrying out pre-use inspections of lifting accessories<br>Ensuring a safe working area during lifting activities and reporting any unsafe practices</p> <p><br><strong>Qualifications/Experience:</strong></p> <p><br>CPCS or NPORS Slinger/Signaller ticket (A40 or equivalent - all duties endorsement preferred)<br>Valid CSCS card<br>Safety-critical medical (or willingness to obtain)<br>Right to work in the UK<br>Full PPE<br>Demonstrable experience in slinging/signalling on large construction or civils projects<br>Familiarity with complex and high-risk lifting operations<br>Experience working alongside mobile cranes, tower cranes, and telehandlers<br>Clear communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple trades<br>Understanding of lift plans, exclusion zones, and working under strict safety protocols<br>Previous work on nuclear, rail, or other high-security/high-regulation sites desirable<br>SC or BPSS clearance (or willingness to undergo vetting)<br>IPAF, telehandler, or other plant tickets<br>Multi-skilled (e.g. experience assisting with groundworks or logistics)</p> <p> </p> <p> </p><p> </p> <p>For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
