<p>The Sizewell C Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.#SZCJobs</p><p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p style="text-align:center"><strong>Civil Engineer Degree Apprentice (Sizewell C)</strong><br><strong>Kier</strong><br><strong>Sizewell C</strong></p> <p><br><strong>Job Responsbilities </strong></p> <p><br>As a Civil Engineer Degree Apprentice you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BEng Civil Engineering with our university partner Warwick, all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us. </p> <p><br>You'll work closely with the Natural Resources, Infrastructure team to design and deliver projects that are key to the UK's infrastructure</p> <p><br><strong>Your day to day will include: </strong></p> <p><br>Responsible for maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work. (Initially assisting the project engineer and then taking them over once competent). </p> <p><br>Assisting in managing systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions and quantity with the site teams and project engineer. </p> <p><br>Taking responsibility for regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly. </p> <p><br>Be aware of the provisions of the Kier Health and Safety Management System and to assist in its implementation to ensure a safe working environment. </p> <p><br>Attending university during pre-determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course.</p> <p><br><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><br>5 GCSE's graded 9-4 including English. Minimum grade 5 Maths GCSE </p> <p><br>3 A Levels AAA minimum, excludes general studies and must include Maths or BTEC Extended Diploma (DMM) with a least a Merit in both Maths & further Maths in a Construction or Engineering related subject</p> <p><br><strong>Experience </strong></p> <p><br>We're looking for a Civil Engineer Degree Apprentice to join our Natural Resources, Infrastructure team working on our Sizewell C project in Suffolk, working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship in Civil Engineering</p> <p> </p> <p> </p><p> </p> <p>For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
