Maintenance Team Leader Glanbia Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life’s journey The Opportunity The Maintenance Team Lead participates in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical appliances, systems, facilities and utilities. Responsibilities <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Direct the maintenance and repair of the facility’s machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned; develop and implement schedules and procedures for preventative maintenance programs.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) / Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming. </li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Work with production to solve issues; coordinate activities with other departments.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Installation and maintenance of controls hardware (transmitters, flow meters, RTD’s, chart recorders, instrumentation, processers, PC’s, etc).</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Oversee contractors and projects that are ongoing in the plant</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Be proactive in seeking out maintenance issues in the plant and solutions.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Performs standard construction activities.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Perform inspections of various electrical and mechanical equipment.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Maintain equipment such as lighting, pumps, production equipment etc.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">See that company tools and equipment are properly used, maintained and stored</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Work safely and efficiently. </li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Complete and maintain logs, reports, records, work orders; orders supplies and other materials.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Assists the Maintenance Manager with duties and assignments of the maintenance team.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Fosters an employee safety, food safety and food security culture within his/her respective unit and supports GNCI’s efforts through leadership and example.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Address personnel issues and are involved in PDP reviews</li> </ul> The Skills you will bring to the team <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Two (2) year degree in electrical or controls related field or mechanical training and/or 3-5 years experience in a plant environment or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of flaxseed processing equipment and plant facilities preferred.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Self motivated, willing to accept responsibility, and ability to make good decisions.
