Audio Visual Engineer
?Field-Based – South (Oxford / Southampton / Poole / Brighton)Company Van ProvidedTravel Required ?As one of our AV Regional Engineers, you’ll play a key role in shaping and supporting our expert installation and service engineering team. Living our Customer First value, you’ll ensure every project is delivered to the highest technical standards, with quality, care, and attention at the heart of everything we do.
This is a field-based role, primarily covering Oxford in the northeast of the region to Southampton in the south, it will also with regular national travel as projects require. To support you, a company van is provided, fully equipped to help you hit the ground running.
You’ll work closely with our Engineering Management team, Chief Engineer, and Project Managers, bringing a Smart and Commercial mindset to every decision ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and right first time.
This is a field based role, so you’ll need to be comfortable travelling across the your designated area but there may also be other UK travel and staying away from home between 1-4 nights per week, depending on project requirements. What you'll do
Be the first field response to technical issues at sites in your areas, resolving problems with care and urgencyBuild strong relationships with customer-site staff, becoming a trusted point of contact for technical supportLead installations and upgrades, ensuring systems are set up to Vivedia’s standards and ready for useConduct site surveys to assess equipment needs and plan improvementsTrain site staff on daily operations and basic system functionality, empowering them to deliver seamless servicesMaintain and replenish the kit in company vehicles, and take pride in keeping the vehicles clean and road-readySupport AV events at venues, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality deliveryCollaborate with our creative team to test and deliver content in the correct formatsDocument issues and feedback to help improve future solutionsCommunicate clearly with venue staff and customers, demonstrating equipment and supporting futuresales conversationsAssist with rack builds and prep at head office when neededProvide feedback to developers, testers, and delivery teams to support product improvementsSupport the launch of new features and help manage change for those impactedHelp identify risks and issues, and contribute to solutionsOffer support to the wider Vivedia team on quieter site daysMaintain open communication with stakeholders across the businessBe hands-on, proactive, and ready to help wherever needed What you'll bring
Prior AV experience, especially with video and projection systemsExperience with system setup, user training, and troubleshootingAbility to document procedures and train others effectivelyBasic skills in video editing, presentation creation, and PhotoshopAn eagerness to learn new technologies and expand your skill setA proactive and resourceful mindset, quick to identify issues and develop practical solutionsExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and compassionatelyStrong attention to detail in planning, execution, and quality assuranceWillingness to travel regularly across the UKFull UK driving licence Apply now and help us turn AV Engineering into something extraordinary.
