Bus drivers are often the first and last school staff members students see each day, and they help set the tone for a welcoming and respectful school environment. Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent • Valid CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements (or willingness to obtain) • Clean driving record • Ability to pass required background checks and physical examinations • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Experience working with children is preferred • A commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism Duties and Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a school bus on regular and special routes • Follow established routes and schedules in a timely manner • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety • Maintain order and ensure student safety on the bus • Build positive and respectful relationships with students and families • Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents when needed • Report any incidents, concerns, or maintenance needs promptly • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding school transportation
