Job SummaryThe Primary Purpose of the Position is the following: Provide support for all teams in the Nursing Service related to computer access and application access/usage based upon the Nursing Informatics (NI) and Clinical & Scientific Inquiry (CSI) programs. The Organizational Location of the Position is: Bonham, TX as the Nursing Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC). The area(s) assigned may be modified as needed to meet organizational needs.

QualificationsTo qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/23/2026. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Prepare a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring reports, correspondence and or other documents; Ability to communicate effectively; Develop tools and training guides for staff; Possess knowledge of VA software and computer skills to assist in providing computer access to staff; Perform other administrative and clerical work in support of the office. Major DutiesDuties include but are not limited to: Enters tickets for computer software/hardware/telephone issues that cannot be resolved by the ADPAC. Initiates and provides all types of Nursing related computer program access and managing the access until completion. Determines appropriate computer access for all employees within the Service, to include VistA menu options, security keys and Fileman access; share drive access/permissions; support electronic 6-part folder maintenance; and Outlook distribution lists and VistA mail groups. Initiates User Access Forms for all new employees within the service/functional area and updating the forms, as needed, when changes in access are necessary. Verifies accuracy of the access given, to include VistA access and enrollment in distribution lists and mail groups. Assists Nursing Service and ADP ACS from other Services/functional areas, in determining appropriate VistA access for employees in those Services/functional areas.
