QualificationsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: PM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0303). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-04: I have at least one (1) year of general experience in basic computer operations for access, understanding, and use; clerical, office, or other work that indicates skills needed to perform the duties to operate printer for copying and scanning tasks; store, organize, and maintain multiple formats (including automated system of records) of data. OR EDUCATION: I have successfully completed 2 years of education above the high school level at an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-05: I have at least 1 year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-4 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). This experience must include the following: performing a range of clerical duties that include word processing, either solely or in combination with clerical work - for example, typing a variety of correspondence, reports, statistical charts, or similar. This experience must include: recurring assignments processed independently according to established procedures and practices; supervisor or senior employee provides instructions on changes in work methods, policies and procedures. OR EDUCATION: I have successfully completed 4 years of education above high school level in any field at an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. (Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education). All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Major DutiesAs Enrollment Clerk, GS-0303, you will provide consultation services, advice, and assistance to individual Alaska Natives who seek a Certificate of Degree of Indian or Alaska Native Blood (CDIB) and assists in the maintenance of a filing system for all CDIBs issued and their supporting documents. Your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Coordinate, process, and issue all Certificate Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) applications for Native clients. Review Certificate Degree of Indian Blood enrollment documents for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Provide information about the CDIB process and enrollment requirements. Maintain accurate records of applications requested and received. Prepare correspondence, reports, memorandums, various forms and documents. Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff or department.
