About this role
In Dordrecht, we are located at Burgemeester van der Dussenstraat 910. Here, we work with our Central Hub Manager Rob and approximately 200 colleagues. Every day, we process up to 200,000 packages here, which can be sorted to 150 locations. In any case, wherever you work: we *always* listen to what you have to say. The more perspectives and opinions we hear, the better we all become. For instance, as an organization, we received the Great Place to Work certificate this year. This certification is based 100% on employee feedback. As a logistics employee at DHL, you help sort packages. You ensure that every package ends up in the right place. Without your help, the packages would not be sorted on time and would not be delivered to the customer on time. You can start as a ‘packer’, where you place the packages on the conveyor belt so they can be sorted. You can start as a ‘packer’, where you take sorted packages off the conveyor belt and place them in a cart. Later, at DHL, you can also learn and perform other tasks in the warehouse. Please note: a package can weigh a maximum of 25 kilos. Not every package is that heavy, but it can happen. You must always lift heavier packages together with a colleague. Working hours/shifts vary between 17:00 and 02:00. - You are available for at least 4 days a week between 17:00 and 02:00; - You can lift packages weighing up to a maximum of 25 kilos; - You have your own transport (car, bicycle, scooter, or you live within walking distance); - You speak Dutch or English so that you can communicate well with your team. - You are at least 18 years old. - Residing in the area of Dordrecht / Rotterdam / Schiedam / Capelle aan den IJssel
