Changarro Mexican Restaurant at John Street, Waterford is looking for a Commis Chef. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with a passion for quality food and creativity. You will be responsible for preparation and presentation of our menu, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, and maintaining a well-organised, efficient kitchen. Job responsibilities The main duties include assisting with the preparation and cooking of food under the supervision of senior chefs, preparing and portioning ingredients, ensuring food is prepared to quality and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organised workstation, storing food correctly, supporting kitchen operations during service and operating kitchen equipment safely. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of previous experience in similar capacity. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong working knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards. Experience in modern and busy kitchen environment. Relevant culinary qualifications desirable. Salary: €36,606 per annum. Hours: 39 hours per week. Location: 17, John Street, Waterford, Co.
