ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER THE ROLE: DO Recruitment Advisors is delighted to recruit on behalf of its client, a family office who invest primarily in real estate assets within Europe, for the position of Assistant Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be expected to manage, with a high degree of autonomy and under the supervision of the Finance Director, a portfolio of Luxembourg entities from planning through execution, ensuring high-quality delivery, mitigating risks, driving process improvements, and providing support and technical guidance to junior colleagues. This role acts as key support interface between the Finance Director and the operational teams, and plays a central role in the financial, fiscal and legal oversight of multinational real estate structures. The key responsibilities will include: Financial Oversight & Asset Management Coordinate and review the work of the finance team, including accountants in multiple jurisdictions. Act as financial point of contact for a portfolio of real estate holding and operating entities across multiple European jurisdictions (notably France, Belgium, Luxembourg amongst others) Contribute to and support end-to-end accounting, reporting and financial controlling, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, cash flow monitoring and forecasts at entity level Provide analytical support to the Finance Director on performance, cash management, debt structures and asset-level economics Structuring, Tax & Legal Coordination Support the Finance Director and external advisors on financial, tax and legal structuring matters related to real estate assets and holding companies Coordinate with external advisors (tax, legal, audit) on Corporate income tax and VAT matters (including cross-border VAT issues) Statutory, SPFS and IFRS accounts and audits Legal documentation and corporate governance requirements Ensure robust documentation and compliance across jurisdictions Support functions Serve as key operational liaison between the Finance Director and internal/external stakeholders ensuring smooth execution of financial and structuring operations Assist in translating strategic financial objectives into operational execution across the portfolio Participate in and support complex, ad-hoc projects involving transactions, restructurings, refinancings or asset reorganizations Maintain and oversee the corporate data rooms for all entities, ensuring completeness, accuracy and audit readiness THE CANDIDDATE PROFILE: Education & Experience Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent A total of 7–10 years of relevant professional experience in finance, audit, advisory or structuring roles Strong exposure to real estate asset management, holding structures and multi-entity environments Proven experience working with multinational companies and cross-border structures Solid understanding of accounting, tax and legal interfaces in an international context Skills & Mindset Highly reliable, detail-oriented, with strong analytical capabilities Clear and concise communication skills Comfortable operating in a hands-on role with exposure to strategic topics Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills Pragmatic problem-solver with a clear “can-do” and ownership mindset Autonomous, structured and able to manage complexity with confidence Reliable counterpart to senior management with strong professional integrity Languages English: fluent (written and spoken) French: fluent (written and spoken) German is an asset THE CLIENT: The client is a family office who invest primarily in real estate assets within Europe We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the confidentiality of your personal information.
