*Overview* We are seeking a friendly and energetic *Barista/Foodista* to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate has experience in the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety within a dynamic team setting.
*Duties*
* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS * Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide outstanding customer service * Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities * Prepare food items according to safety standards and quality guidelines * Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols * Restock supplies and ensure the proper storage of food and beverages * Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers promptly * Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met * Assist with opening and closing duties as required
*Qualifications*
* Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred * Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus * Strong customer service skills with an outgoing personality * Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order processing * Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours * Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail * Basic understanding of serving, food preparation, and food industry best practices
