About this role

The Ministry of Social Services supports vulnerable people and families in building a better quality of life. Working with Indigenous and community partners, the ministry provides supports for child and family safety, children and youth in care, people with disabilities, affordable housing, and income assistance. The ministry is seeking dynamic individuals to join the Fort QuAppelle office as Childrens Service Workers in term positions. The role provides protective, preventative, and support services to children and families using the P.R.I.D.E. model and the Family Centered Case Management Model of practice. The ideal candidate is committed to improving outcomes for children and families, demonstrates accountability, innovation, collaboration, inclusiveness, adaptability, and a commitment to public service excellence. Candidates must be able to build positive relationships with clients, foster and biological families, community agencies, and colleagues. They should understand multicultural beliefs and values, particularly First Nations and Mtis perspectives, and recognize the impacts of poverty, systemic barriers, and socio-economic challenges on individuals and families.
