Bike Mechanic ? Seasonal (Potential Full-Time Year-Round)

Bikes and Blades is one of Vancouver?s most established bike shops, with over 35 years in the industry. Located near Stanley Park, we are a high-volume rental and service shop known for quality equipment and fast service.
We are currently looking for a Bike Mechanic to join our team for the upcoming busy season.
This is a seasonal position with strong potential for full-time, year-round employment for the right candidate. Unlike most bike shops, we operate year-round by transitioning into ski and snowboard rentals during the winter, allowing us to retain key staff.

Responsibilities:
* Perform bike repairs and maintenance (tune-ups, brake adjustments, drivetrain, flats, etc.)
* Inspect and prepare rental bikes daily
* Ensure all bikes meet safety and quality standards
* Assist with general shop operations when needed

Requirements:
* Previous experience as a bike mechanic preferred
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Strong attention to detail and reliability
* Must be available to work weekends (required)
* Flexible availability (shop hours: approx. 8:00 AM ? 9:30 PM)

Compensation:
* $25?$28 per hour, depending on experience
