*Overview*
This Rides 4 U Wheelchair Services Ltd. is a locally owned and operated business based in Duncan, B.C. We provide transportation services in the Cowichan Valley and surrounding areas for individuals with disabilities. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team and support the financial operations of our organization.
*Duties*
* Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software required * Record and monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions * Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data * Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain accurate financial records * Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review * Prepare and file GST/PST and other required government remittances. * Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards * Maintain organized records of all financial documents for audit purposes
*Skills*
* Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). * Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (preffered) * Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices * Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation * Ability to perform account analysis and account reconciliation accurately * Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail * Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities * Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and external vendors * High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
