*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and adherence to safety standards to ensure efficient production and product integrity.
*Duties*
* Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to specifications and blueprints * Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine machine settings and tooling requirements * Set up and adjust machinery, including CNC programming when applicable, to meet production goals * Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment * Conduct quality inspections using calipers, gauges, and other hand tools to ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards * Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency * Collaborate with team members on assembly processes involving machined components * Utilize additional manufacturing equipment such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, cranes, forklifts, and hand tools as needed for material handling and fabrication tasks * Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during operation
*Requirements*
* Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment * Mechanical knowledge of CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, welding, machining processes, and blueprint reading * Ability to use calipers, hand tools, and perform quality inspections with precision * Familiarity with cranes and forklifts for material handling is a plus * Basic math skills necessary for measuring and setting machine parameters * Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control * Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment * Prior experience with assembly processes is advantageous * Ability to work safely following all safety procedures and guidelines
Pay: $19.06-$25.00 per hour
