*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our restaurant's standards, ensuring that every dish is served promptly and meets our customers' expectations.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. * Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to food safety regulations. * Assist in meal preparation and food handling, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. * Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. * Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed. * Follow proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure quality control. * Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
*Skills*
* Proven experience in food service or as a cook in the food industry or restaurant setting. * Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. * Ability to perform meal preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. * Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously during busy periods. * Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. * Strong attention to detail in food presentation and preparation techniques. * Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
