*Responsibilities*
* Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. * Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. * Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure adequate supplies for meal preparation. * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining high-quality standards. * Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure safe consumption of all dishes. * Participate in menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish creativity.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred. * Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations, including proper food handling techniques. * Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. * A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required; passion for cooking is essential.
