POSITION OVERVIEW
Elysée New York is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead hotel technology operations during pre-opening and ongoing operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this leader will oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, property technology, vendor relationships, and user support while ensuring a seamless experience for guests and team members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
IT OPERATIONS & TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP
• Oversee all hotel technology systems, including network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, telecommunications, servers, end-user devices, and cloud-based applications.
• Ensure reliable operation of PMS, POS, accounting, HR, sales, reservations, and guest-facing technology platforms.
• Lead technology readiness efforts supporting hotel reopening, upgrades, and future enhancements.
• Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues with urgency and professionalism.
LEADERSHIP AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop third-party support partners.
• Provide technology training and support to hotel departments.
• Establish service standards and response expectations for technology support.
CYBERSECURITY & COMPLIANCE
• Implement cybersecurity best practices and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Manage user access, data security, system backups, disaster recovery, and incident response processes.
• Coordinate security assessments, software updates, and vulnerability remediation.
VENDOR & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Manage technology vendors, service agreements, budgets, and project timelines.
• Lead implementation of new systems and upgrades while minimizing operational disruption.
• Partner with hotel leadership to identify technology solutions that improve efficiency and the guest experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Strong knowledge of hospitality technology systems, networking, cybersecurity, and technical support.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and vendor-management skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of progressive IT experience, preferably within hospitality, luxury hotels, or service-oriented environments.
• Minimum three years of technology leadership or management experience.
• Experience with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity programs.
• Experience supporting hotel openings, renovations, or major technology implementations preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours as operational needs require.
