POSITION: Machine Operator 2 - Nights
SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 4:30 pm - 3:30 am (additional OT Saturdays as needed)
PAY RATE: $20.80 - 24.00+ per hour (Depending on Experience) + $2 shift differential pay + Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: Lubbock, TX
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment used for the fabrication of structural steel and tank products.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all duties in a safe manner and in compliance with the established JSA.
• Ability to competently operate a majority of equipment in an operational area, performing with accuracy, consistency, and with minimal supervision and rework.
• Ability to lead and direct groups of employees to successful task completion
• Perform effectively as a trainer and mentor to junior employees.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Utilize applicable tools and equipment relevant to operating the machine.
• Practice and promote Safety and Housekeeping.
• Prompt and dependable attendance.
• Others duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Programming CNC equipment
• Operating CNC equipment
• Working knowledge of basic lifting and rigging techniques.
• Able to identify needed material
• Able to read shop drawings
• Plan and organize work to meet deadlines.
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
• Effectively operate common layout tools.
• Ability to work with others.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or GED.
• One to two years of machine operation experience.
• The Machine Operator 2 must have fulfilled the requirements of the Machine Operator I position or shown that equivalent experience and knowledge has been gained by other means (previous employment, trade schools) to meet those requirements.
